We’ve known Kara & her family since high school and it was such an honor to be a part of their day! Kara and Ross met as two dedicated architecture students at Clemson and their drive to be successful and strong Christian faith caused them to become fast friends. Long days and nights working in the architecture studio, as well as their involvement in Newspring Church turned into a beautiful relationship rooted in their faith. It’s taken them from South Carolina to NC State and then on to Dallas, Texas. This amazing relationship is heavily based on competition between the two, but not in the stereotypical win or lose sense. Instead, Kara and Ross compete with each other for the benefit of themselves, which in turn improves their relationship.

Ross proposed while on a vacation with Kara’s family in Cancun. While the family was celebrating the occasion, Kara’s father revealed to the couple that he already had a head start on the planning process. Kara’s family had been a member of the Chartwell Country Club her entire life and had already been the venue for her sister’s wedding, so there was no question where Kara’s wedding would be held. Her father had even already picked two possible dates for the wedding to be held and reserved the Chartwell for both dates, just in case.

Their floral designer Nick Codd did an incredible job transforming the ballroom of Chartwell. He wove sophisticated florals and greens through rustic ladders and suspended them above the tables. Hanging candles light the room and cast a warm glow over dinner. It was the perfect mix of elegance and rustic!

From heartfelt toasts to sweet gifts and even a dancing Clemson tiger, Kara and Ross’ day was the perfect mix of love, family and faith! Congratulations you two!
