We’re excited to be sharing Samantha and Rich’s engagement photos today because we’re actually heading up to New York City for their wedding in just a few weeks!

Although Sam and Rich met in high school, they didn’t start dating until senior year. After volunteering at a school event together, Sam did Rich a favor and he repaid her with dinner! Eight years later, through college, graduate school, and all the ups and downs of life in between, they’re still together and best friends.

Last spring while they were walking around Bryant Park, Rich told Sam there was a rooftop bar at the top of the Bryant Park Hotel that he wanted to visit. Before Sam could even ask any questions, they were in an elevator heading up to the top of the hotel. When they got off, he pulled out a room key and proposed on a terrace balcony overlooking Bryant Park! And afterwards, he took her to Eleven Madison Park for dinner. At that time, it was the third best restaurant in the world and since then it’s become number one! It’s also the place where they’re getting married this fall.

Sam and Rich actually came down to Annapolis for their engagement session this summer. They greeted us with the biggest hugs and are genuinely one of the sweetest couples we’ve ever met! After an evening walking around downtown Annapolis and the Naval Academy, they pulled out a cookbook from Eleven Madison Park as a gift for us. We seriously can’t wait for their wedding!
