We were so excited when Katie and Ramy told us they wanted to take their engagement photos in the adorable town of St. Michaels AND rent a sailboat from The Inn at Perry Cabin! This was our first time shooting on a moving sailboat and we still can’t get over how gorgeous the photos turned out!

Katie and Ramy’s session took us to all of their favorite spots in St. Michaels. We started the session at a nearby park with an adorable covered bridge overlooking crabbing boats and then headed over to the Chesapeake Maritime Museum. Their wedding – which took place overlooking the waterfront at Kirkland Manor – was an elegant, coastal affair with oyster details, so shooting around the Maritime Museum was the perfect complement!

After a few photos around the grounds of The Inn at Perry Cabin, we hopped on a beautiful Friendship 40 sailboat for a sunset cruise. With an American flag waving off the back of the boat and the sun setting over the water, it felt like we were shooting for the summer issue of J. Crew!

Katie and Ramy’s wedding just took place last weekend and we can’t wait to share it here! Elle Ellinghaus and her team created the most beautiful day for these two!
